How to Disable Typing Animations in Office 2013

Recently Microsoft released the beta version of upcoming Microsoft Office 2013. The New Office 2013 offer so many useful features and many improvement in user interface as compare to previous version. In office 2013, Microsoft completely redesign the application interface, The new user interface is totally based on Windows 8 and Metro UI.

In Office 2013, there is so many useful features, one of them is new typing animations, it appear when you type text in Word, Excel, Outlook etc.. While some people have welcomed this change, other aren’t happy with this animation. they complained that new typing animation in Microsoft Word distract them when they spend a lot of time in word.

Microsoft doesn’t offer any option to disable thus typing animations in Office 2013. if you really don’t like the new typing animations and want to disable it. You can easily disable it from registry. All you need to do take a backup of the registry, because we are going to edit the registry, if something goes wrong, you can restore your registry from backup.

Disable Typing Animations in Office 2013

Open Registry Editor (Open Run and type regedit and press enter) and navigate to HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftOffice15.0CommonGraphics. On the right side panel create a new DWORD value named DisableAnimations. Set its data to 1 and save the registry and close it. Now you’re ready to use word document without any typing animations.
