Open Dialect – open source Flash IDE based on Flex
Open Dialect is an open source-free flash integrated development environment (IDE) based on Adobe flex. It specially designs to create and publish Interactive Learning Environments for their work.
It allows users to create adobe AIR executables files and Flash 9 SWFs. Open Dialect is written in C# using the .NET Framework and has been ported via Mono and GTK+ to Linux and partially on Mac OS X.
It’s a free Flash IDE that allows anyone from beginners to advanced Flash coders to create Rich Internet Applications quickly and easily. You can also develop desktop applications by using the Adobe AIR runtime. Open Dialect supports 17 different components, and action script scripting can be done using either a wizard (for beginners) or by hand (for advanced users).
