WMD Wysiwym HTML editor
WMD is a Simple yet powerful, lightweight HTML editor specially designed for blog comments, forum posts, and basic content management. With WMD, the User can easily convert any textarea into a Wysiwym HTML editor with one line of code.
It also provides a live preview with one extra line. WMD is a multi-browser-supported Wysiwym HTML editor and is now completely free to use. The next release will be open source under an MIT-style license.
WMD is not a WYSIWYG editor but a WYSIWYM editor, often known as a “What You See Is What You Mean” editor.
Which produces semantic HTML while leaving presentation aspects such as colors and fonts to style sheets.
The live preview feature of WMD displays exactly how your text will appear after applying the existing styles.
WMD is as simple as any WYSIWYG editor, so you don’t need any knowledge of Markdown or HTML to create clean, semantically significant markup. Instead, you click the buttons, and WMD writes the Markdown.
